AA Classical Ballet School was founded to provide professional ballet training in Calgary in an environment where every student feels challenged, supported, and inspired. We believe great dancers are developed through excellent teaching, consistency, discipline, and genuine care.

Whether a student is taking their first ballet class or preparing for examinations, performances, or international competitions, our goal is to help every dancer reach their full potential.

Led by former professional ballet dancers Jaciel Gomez and Yairelys Sosa, our school combines internationally recognized training with individual attention, creating a positive experience for every student.

Yairelys Sosa

Jaciel Gomez

Trained at the Cuban National Ballet School in Havana, Yairelys Sosa developed a strong foundation in classical ballet from an early age, earning recognition for her talent and discipline. She went on to perform professionally with the National Ballet of Cuba before continuing her career in Canada with Alberta Ballet.

Today, she brings this experience into her teaching, focusing on strong technique, musicality, and individual attention—creating a calm and focused environment where each dancer is guided with care, bringing experience influenced by internationally recognized training methods.

Trained in Cuba at the Cuban National Ballet School, Jaciel Gomez built a strong technical foundation before performing internationally with the National Ballet of Cuba and later continuing his career in Canada, with Alberta Ballet.

Known for his strength, precision, and commanding stage presence, he now brings a structured and demanding approach to training, guiding dancers to develop clarity, confidence, and artistry.
