AA Classical Ballet School was created to offer a different kind of ballet training in Calgary — one where each student is guided with clarity, patience, and genuine care.

We focus on strong classical technique while creating an environment that feels structured, supportive, and welcoming to every dancer.

Ballet is for everyone — whether a student is training seriously or simply exploring their love for dance. Each dancer is respected for who they are and supported at every stage of their journey.

We understand that every dancer has different goals. Some pursue advanced training, while others are looking for a meaningful and enriching experience. Both paths are guided with the same level of care and professionalism.

Founded by Jaciel Gomez and Yairelys Sosa, the school reflects years of professional experience and a deep understanding of ballet training.

Yairelys Sosa

Jaciel Gomez

Trained at the Cuban National Ballet School in Havana, Yairelys Sosa developed a strong foundation in classical ballet from an early age, earning recognition for her talent and discipline. She went on to perform professionally with the National Ballet of Cuba before continuing her career in Canada with Alberta Ballet.

Today, she brings this experience into her teaching, focusing on strong technique, musicality, and individual attention—creating a calm and focused environment where each dancer is guided with care, bringing experience influenced by internationally recognized training methods.

Trained in Cuba at the Cuban National Ballet School, Jaciel Gomez built a strong technical foundation before performing internationally with the National Ballet of Cuba and later continuing his career in Canada, with Alberta Ballet.

Known for his strength, precision, and commanding stage presence, he now brings a structured and demanding approach to training, guiding dancers to develop clarity, confidence, and artistry.
